Frequently asked questions

  • Where can I park?

We do not have a dedicated parking lot here at Trace, but there are lots of options for street parking in the surrounding area including in the adjacent alley - Clement Way - and metered parking along Main St. There is also the Taylor Street Parking Plaza a few blocks away at 220 Taylor St, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.

  • Can I bring my kids?

Yes! Minors are permitted at Trace as long as they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 21.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome in both our indoor Taproom and outdoor Beer Garden. We appreciate guests ensuring that all furry friends are kept on a leash.

  • Do you allow outside food?

We always encourage patrons to order food from our rotating list of food trucks (check out the schedule here). We also understand that people have allergies and dietary restrictions so as such, outside food is always permitted to be brought in or ordered to the brewery.

  • Do you sell beer to go?

Yes! We almost always have a selection of 4 packs for takeaway and can also fill a crowler (32 oz) with most of our draft offerings. Check out our changing selection of 4 packs here! Note: 4 packs and crowlers are not for in-taproom consumption and can ONLY be taken to go. Thanks!

  • Do you sell any drinks other than beer?

Of course! We’ve got draft cocktails from Goodlander & Lawrenceville Distilling, canned cocktails from Lake Hour, wine from Pittsburgh Winery, as well as a full line up of non-alcoholic sodas from Natrona Bottling Company. Check out all of our current in-house offerings here!

  • Do you sell merchandise?

Yup! We have a selection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, and hats available for purchase in the taproom! We also have gift cards available!

  • What was the building before it was Trace?

Both of Trace’s addresses (4312 & 4314 Main St) have been home to an array of businesses and residential homes - including an auto & machine shop and a confectionary & cigar shop. 4314 Main housed the Newlands Brothers brass, bronze, and aluminum foundry throughout the 1920s, eventually becoming Pitt Metals & Chemicals, Inc. and then Electrochem International. And most recently from 2010 to 2016, live art and concert venue The Shop took up residence here.

  • What if I want to bring in a large group of people?

We love hosting groups! Hit us up here to inquire about bringing in a large group or renting out the whole space for your event!

  • I’m an artist - how can I have my art displayed at Trace?

We love local artists here at Trace and our art curator Mia works with us to book artists for our bi-monthly Thursday Night Live Art events as well as sourcing new artists for display in the Taproom. You can call or text her at 412-735-8713 our reach out to her on Instagram (@liveartpgh) to discuss available opportunities.
